Parking Permit Terms

By submitting a parking permit request, you confirm that the information provided is complete and accurate and agree to follow these terms, all posted signs, and all applicable University Apartments Galveston parking rules.

Approval and Availability

Submitting a request does not guarantee approval, a permit, or an available parking space. UAG may approve, deny, limit, or revoke a permit when necessary to administer parking or enforce applicable rules.

Accurate Information

The resident and vehicle owner or operator are responsible for providing accurate resident, guest, vehicle, license-plate, contact, and requested-date information. UAG should be notified if that information changes.

Permit Use

• A permit is valid only for the person, vehicle, license plate, location, and dates authorized by UAG.
• A permit may not be transferred to another person or vehicle.
• A permit does not reserve or guarantee a parking space.
• Drivers must follow posted signs and may not park in fire lanes, roadways, reserved spaces, accessible spaces without proper authorization, or any area that blocks traffic or access.

Enforcement

A permit does not authorize parking that violates posted signs, a lease, or written parking rules. Vehicles parked without a valid permit or in violation of applicable rules may be cited, immobilized, or towed in accordance with posted notices and applicable law, at the vehicle owner’s or operator’s expense.

Vehicle and Property Responsibility

Vehicles and personal property are parked at the owner’s or operator’s risk. Drivers should lock their vehicles and secure valuables. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that cannot legally be limited.

Other Rules Control

These terms do not replace a resident’s lease, UAG’s written parking policies, or posted parking and towing signs. The applicable lease, policy, or sign controls if there is a conflict.
